Learning By Hand SEEKS TO honor our teachErs & elders by building on EFFECTIVE models of creative facilitation, community design, arts education, traditional ecological knowledge practices, & continued learning.


Learning By Hand welcomes the spectrum of human identities & sees the intrinsic value of all perspectives. We are engaged in the learning process alongside our community & we encourage an openness rooted in creativity, trust, & play.

Eli Utne

Eli Utne (he/him) is an educator, facilitator, & musician based in xučyun (Bay Area, ca).

Born and raised in Mni Sota (Minneapolis) Eli lives in service of the waters & ecosystems of this Turtle Island we all call home.

LBH is growing from our origin as a passion-project into a community-driven collective & node in the network of bioregional resilience.

We are actively seeking opportunities to grow our community offerings & work with organizations, teams, & individuals who are interested in building together.
