RestoFest is a small-scale festival combining bioregional resilience, community education & performing arts at the Historic Wakamatsu Farm in the Sierra Foothills of California (Southern Maidu Territory). RestoFest invites participants to connect to the watersheds & ecology they depend upon through hands-on activities & to enjoy live music & performances from local artists whose works elevate creative expression in concert with ecological restoration.
🌱 🌱 🌱
RestoFest will provide a unique opportunity for our communities to trace the history of the land from its indigenous Southern Maidu origins to the Wakamatsu Japanese settlement (1869-71) to private landowners, to American River Conservancy, weaving together stories of stewardship, care, community, colonization & regeneration.

RestoFest is a collaboration between: LBH, Symbiotic Restoration & American River Conservancy with the support of our friends, neighbors & extended community networks.
